There are many aspiring inventors tucked away in their houses, sheds and workshops trying their hardest to bring to life their greatest product design ideas which could hopefully change their life forever, spinning them to new heights and maybe even a place in the history books for future generations to admire.

There are several contributing factors in the world of product design from the conception of an idea to reality.

• Would the manufacture of the any product would need to be subcontracted
• Think about the funding for bringing the idea from conception to reality
• Consult with a product design expert
• Get advice on patenting the idea
• Think about product registration, copyright and any other legal regulations
• Check that the product design when fully created would meet and British or European Health and safety standards
• Consider various methods of marketing appropriate to the targeted area of the product or service
• Determine a price for the product or service to make it appealing as well as profitable

With the correct guidance and advice many new aspiring and even established inventors are able to bring the most unlikely ideas to life. Many new inventions have probably come from the most unlikely resources. It’s just a case of having enough confidence and conviction the new idea to take it forward.

Some ideas will inevitably be knocked back by the professional experts but an honest rejection would be better than trying to implement an idea that would quite possibly result in a very expensive failure. Then is the time to take advice and move on to the next rewarding idea.

Many inventors would create products or services to help other people for instance to help civilizations in the developing third world countries as opposed to those in the western world where it would seem they have so much more anyway.
