With Mothers Day coming up this Sunday it’s fairly likely that there will be in a huge increase of online searches for ecards. This is an incredibly environmentally friendly way to pass on best wishes to friends and loved ones without the need to go to a shop and purchase a card.
Some people could argue this is negating the need for people within the industry of sending the usual style of card, for example the production staff making the cards, shop sellers selling the cards and post service staff who sometimes deliver the cards. However maybe it would be wrong not to look at the bigger picture. There are lots of high priority issues to think of regarding saving the planet and the world carbon footprint etc.

We’ve recently built a conservatory on the back of our house to use as a kitchen, lounge and dining area. I’m really looking forward to it getting completed so I can get loads of new houseware and cookware products for my brand spanking new kitchen.
It’s such a perfect excuse to treat myself to loads of new stuff. I can’t wait I’ll be like a woman possessed scouring the internet for bargains. It will be great to have everything matching at last. We seem to have got all the odd bits and pieces left over from our wedding presents which of course 22 years later are no longer complete sets by a long shot. It will make such a nice change not to be embarrassed when friends come round for a cup of coffee and I make it in either a broken or a just plain old and sad mug.

Both of my nieces had babies during the summer months which was lovely, one had a baby girl and one had a baby boy. It’s funny how baby names have changed so much since we had our children.
One of my nieces called her baby daughter Maddison which is one of those names I had only ever heard of in the film Splash. The mermaid in that film was called Madison as one of the first things she saw when she came to the city was a sign post for Madison Avenue. Throughout the family we have already managed to shorten it to Maddi. There was a lot of confusion at first whether it had one D or two. In my wisdom I thought it was one D but in fact it’s 2. Shows how much I know!

I read with interest the other day that Buckingham Palace announced recently that the Duke of York received more than 100 gifts and presents from different people, during the course of his official duties throughout last year. According to the list which Buckingham Palace had supplied, there were some very bizarre and unusual gifts that he received. These included three swords from Saudi Arabia, a model palm tree from the king of Bahrain, two photo books from Turkmensitan and even a chocolate camel. Other presents received were a mobile phone, a hand held vacuum cleaner and even a coffee pot.

Do you have things scattered all over your house making things look rather untidy because they don’t have a place? Are you afraid to open a cupboard door in the fear that everything may fall out? If you answered yes to any of the above then you need help and ideas with some storage solutions like i did.

To celebrate my Daughters 8th birthday next month we have decided to host an Alice in Wonderland fancy dress party and a ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’ for her which will also coincide with the release of the new Alice in Wonderland film, featuring the gorgeous Johnny Depp. I always love to make their parties fun, over the top and exciting and planning her party this year is proving to be quite a challenge, although I will not be defeated by this! I have got big ideas for the décor of this party and to complete the look, and since the invitations have already been sent out, I need to find the right party products which I think will be the icing on the cake for this party.

I was reading a news article the other day in my daily newspaper and a new study has revealed that millions of women drive without wearing their glasses that have been prescribed to them. The women numbering around the 3.8 million mark, not only put their own lives on the line, but also the lives of others because they are not able to see properly whilst behind the wheel of a car. The main reason explained for refusing to wear the glasses is because they think specs make them look like TVs gawky Ugly Betty. So, if these women think they look so stupid with spec’s on why on earth do they not switch to wearing contact lenses for the safety of themselves and all other road users.

Football fans from all over the land love to walk around in their replica football shirts showing off to everyone who their favourite team is. Some even prefer to have it personalised displaying their name or even who their favourite player is with their number displayed on the reverse. Other people also choose to wear their favourite rugby shirts, tennis shirts, cricket shirts and my son is no different from any other sports enthusiasts as he loves to strut his stuff in any of his favourite F1 merchandise that he has hanging in his wardrobe.

Is your office or reception area looking rather dull and tired at the moment and in need of a complete facelift? Are you thinking of refurbishing your place of work and contemplating a total redesign of your reception area, but your funds are rather low? With the recent cold snap here in the UK, reports have recently revealed that sales of warmer dog clothes have done a roaring trade as dedicated owners looked for ways to keep their favourite pet pooch warm through the Siberian temperatures that we have recently been experiencing. It has to be really freezing cold outside for me to skip my daily dog walking session so thank heavens for the invention of doggy clothes.

Dog clothes are for life, not just for Christmas
