Now that the snow has at last left the ground I am really looking forward to our family summer holiday. I’ve booked the hotel at Gatwick airport before we fly as we have an early morning flight, the flight itself is booked, the suitcases booked on the flight so hopefully they will end up at the same destination as us. The only thing left to sort out is the car hire to get us from the airport to the apartment.

There are many reasons why we have and own our own motorhomes these days. Some people own their own motorhomes because they just love holidaying and enjoy travelling from continent to continent in them. For most, they are very much a home from home and they are built to a very high standard and are often well equipped with all the luxury items we have installed in our own homes, like microwave ovens, televisions and even nicely equipped bathroom and toilet facilities, luxury fitted kitchens and comfortable bedrooms and this is why they are so appealing to many people today
With the extreme weather conditions we are experiencing at the moment across the UK, loads of snow and sub zero temperatures, this weather has a knock on effect with many businesses, schools and many other industries. People find themselves snowed in, public transport and airports grind to a halt, desks are empty in offices, schools close, the shop shelves are empty because of people panic buying and hospitals are full to capacity with patients who have slipped over on the ice and broken an arm or leg. But what about the car hire industry at this time of the year? Do many people use car hire companies in the winter or are vehicles just hired in the summer months when they take their annual holidays?
Christmas is not that far away now and today I have been casting my mind back to a few years ago and reminiscing over some lovely Christmas memories of when my children where smaller. I remember one Christmas in particular, my children could only have been about 9 and 7 years old and we brought them both a gigantic remote control mini car each. Their faces were a picture of sheer delight when they opened this present, a memory that I will always treasure. They had not asked for a remote control mini from Father Christmas that year but it was something my husband and I stumbled across in our local toy department whilst Christmas shopping one day and we knew we just had to buy them one each. One was shiny red and the other was a sparkly silver.
